It’s a test to get into a lot of private schools, with three levels, Elementary, Middle, and Upper (high school). Boarding schools and more advanced programs may require this test to be taken before you can get in.

The schools that I’ve seen that require the SSAT are fricking expensive, like $30K-$70K (in USD)
